Family won the poker pot
When Jim Ruth, 27, played poker online combed him a day home a profit of 2 167 kronor. He would not have done.
The gain meant that his application for ekominiskt aid was refused. The reason stated was that the social services that
poker profits had done that Jim had 268 kronor too much to get grants.
Not fair
It is not reasonable that it can go to so this, says Jim.
When Jim applied for welfare, he indicated that he had 5 456 kronor in activity as the sole income.
But when social services examined the case fans including a payment of 2 167 kronor from poker firm on Jims account.
Together, the sum of the activity aid and poker profits that he was 268 kronor over the limit for contributions.
I could not imagine that such a small profit could affect as much, if so, I had not played poker, says Jim.

Support Activity at 5 456 was the only income, and Jim was already back in the household coffers. A poker profits also means efforts, he said.
Its not that I earn me at poker. It is a fritidsintesse. I had played for roughly the same amount as I did then.
But the court agreed with Umeå in the social service approach to regard poker profits as income and Jims appeal was rejected. And now its finished playing for Jim.
